IN-DEPTH Confidential COUNSELING FOR Professionals and Others Struggling with Work Stress,
Life Transitions, AND GRIEF
6750 Hillcrest Plaza Drive, Suite 206,#3 Dallas, Texas 75230
Although I have called Dallas home since 2008, my roots are in a small town in Central Mississippi, where I learned the values of community and resilience. My educational journey led me first to law, where I earned my Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. For over 12 years, I dedicated myself to working as a litigation attorney, a demanding profession that sharpened my analytical skills and deepened my ability to advocate for others. During this time, I also embraced the equally important roles of wife and mother to three children, striving to balance the rigors of a legal career with the joys and responsibilities of family life.
Eventually, my priorities began to shift. I found myself drawn to the profound desire to not only spend more time with my children but also to explore deeper questions about human nature, relationships, and the complexities of the world we live in. This personal transformation sparked a journey of self-discovery and professional reinvention, which ultimately led me to pursue a Masters in the Science of Counseling from Southern Methodist University.
Today, I am truly grateful to serve as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Rozan Christian, LPC-S. My background as a former attorney uniquely equips me with the skills to help clients identify challenges, clarify their goals, and navigate their personal and emotional landscapes with confidence and insight. My mission as a therapist is to offer a compassionate, supportive environment where clients can find clarity, healing, and the tools to create meaningful change in their lives.
Are you feeling burned out at work or at home? Overwhelmed as a caregiver, parent, or partner? Is fear or anxiety suffocating your sense of hope? Are you struggling with debilitating grief and loss? Are you struggling with "Mom Guilt"?
When life’s demands—whether from roles, relationships, or unexpected events—push us beyond our ability to cope, it can leave us feeling broken, isolated, numb, emotionally exhausted, and stuck. Shame, sadness, and disillusionment may follow, leading us to silence our true desires, overextend ourselves, or turn to substances for relief. You might wonder, How do I find hope, peace, and freedom when life feels this heavy and disorienting?
Seeking help is a courageous and powerful first step. In our counseling sessions, you'll find non-judgmental, empathetic support as we explore new ways of thinking, coping, and living a more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll uncover more about who you are—your needs, strengths, vulnerabilities, hopes, and deeper purpose—so that you can move forward with authenticity and live another day with renewed hope.
My approach to the counseling process is one that honors and respects your story. My goal is to work with you to identify and understand themes and patterns that may be impacting your current struggles and suffering. Once you become aware of these themes and patterns, we can work together to chart a new path forward. My hope is that our work together will empower you to make intentional steps toward living a life more aligned with who you truly are.
In addition to meeting the academic requirements of SMU's CACREP accredited masters program, I pursued a concentration in the Psychology and Treatment of Addiction.
My clinical training includes extensive counseling work, with clients of all ages across various settings, including individual and group therapy, intensive outpatient programs, and partial hospitalization. With clients, I've utilized elements of Cognitive Behvioral Therapy and Activity Therapy. Additionally, I am currently practicing as a Jungian-influenced therapist, focusing on helping clients connect with their unconscious motivations, embrace all aspects of themselves (including shadow parts), and ultimately achieve greater wholeness and balance. My approach is rooted in research, and when needed, I collaborate with other specialists—psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists—to ensure comprehensive care.
Individual Counseling
I offer individual counseling services tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or other struggles, I’m here to support you. My goal is to help you find freedom, hope, and meaning in the challenges you face.

Financial Assistance for Lawyers, Judges, and Law Students: As a former litigation attorney, I have a passion for helping other attorneys access mental health resources. One such resource is The Texas Lawyers Assistance Program. This organization helps Texas lawyers, judges, and law students find solutions for dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges. TLAP works with the Sheeran-Crowley Trust in an effort to provide financial assistance to cover therapy costs. As an attorney, judge, or law student, you may qualifty for these benefits. Visit Sheeran-Crowley Trust and Texas Lawyers Assistance Program for more information.
